MEET CHRISTINE LAMOREAUX, M.Ed.

You don’t have to carry the full weight of homeschooling alone.

With over 20 years of experience in education, I created Common Roots Learning to support families who want to homeschool well—but feel overwhelmed trying to do everything on their own.

I’m here to partner with you so your child can receive strong, consistent instruction while you remain confidently in control of their education.

MY EXPERIENCE

I have spent the past two decades working with students, families, and educators in upper elementary education—where academic expectations begin to rise and many families start to feel the pressure of “getting it right.”

My background includes:

  • 20+ years in education and instructional leadership

  • Extensive experience in Math and Language Arts at the upper elementary level

  • Supporting students with a wide range of learning needs and abilities

  • Guiding families who want both academic excellence and flexibility

MY APPROACH TO LEARNING

I believe students learn best when they are:

  • Supported consistently

  • Challenged appropriately

  • Known personally

That’s why Common Roots Learning is built around:

Mastery Over Speed
Students don’t just move on—they truly understand the material.

Small-Group Connection
With only 12 students, every child is seen, supported, and engaged.

Confidence Through Consistency
Students build momentum through structured, predictable learning.

WHY I CREATED COMMON ROOTS LEARNING

Over the years, I saw a pattern:

Many families wanted to homeschool—but felt overwhelmed trying to:

  • Plan curriculum

  • Teach daily lessons

  • Keep their child on track

This was especially true in 4th and 5th grade, when academics become more demanding.

I created Common Roots Learning to bridge that gap.

So families can keep the freedom of homeschooling—without carrying the full burden alone.

A TRUE PARTNERSHIP

I don’t replace parents—I support them.

You remain your child’s homeschool educator.

I provide:

  • Instruction

  • Structure

  • Academic guidance

Together, we create a learning experience that is both effective and sustainable.

A PERSONAL NOTE

Teaching has always been more than a profession for me—it’s a commitment to helping students grow in both confidence and capability.

I care deeply about creating an environment where students feel supported, challenged, and capable of success.

And just as importantly, where parents feel confident in the path they’ve chosen.
